Valuation Phase II
After the inventory and testing process, which
utilizes our proprietary valuation index, each
asset is evaluated for both its ongoing usefulness
to the company and for its resale value in the
technology aftermarket. In conjunction with the
company's IT management, AnythingIT will make
a determination about whether to stage the asset
in one of our facilities for possible redeployment,
or to offer the asset for resale. Our experience
in the handling and sale of technology assets
allows us to provide information regarding the
potential usefulness of the asset or its ultimate
resale value to the company. With this
information, the company is able to make an
intelligent decision about the outcome of the
asset.
De-Installation, Removal and Logistics Coordination Phase II
AnythingIT de-installs technology equipment and prepares each asset for transport to a designated AnythingIT facility. Leveraging our partnership with a global logistics company specializing in technology management, AnythingIT organizes the prompt and orderly removal of all equipment from any company location. Assets are packaged securely on site and transported by truck to our facility and AnythingIT accepts full liability for the product once it leaves the client's location.
Inventory and Asset Tagging Phase II
Equipment is received, inventoried, reconciled to the pickup request submitted by the company and labeled with an AnythingIT identifying number. Information regarding the make, configuration, and status of the asset is then entered into our database. This information can then be used to track both the physical location of the asset and its status in real-time by accessing our database from a secure Web site.
Testing and Data Deletions Phase II
Once assets are inventoried, AnythingIT can perform a wide range of testing services - either on-site or at our own Test Audit Processing Center - from basic power-on testing to complete configuration and functionality tests. The results of these tests are then added to the asset's history in our database. Proprietary client information that is stored in memory of any decommissioned equipment must be protected. To guard against the unintentional dissemination of
this information, AnythingIT executes the complete destruction of any confidential data by performing zero-fill overwrite programs on each piece of the company's equipment.
